Consciousness vs Ego
Everything that we are, what we know, and how we interact makes up a total of 100%. Nothing can drop below or exceed that total. If something gains something else loses an equivalent amount.
It happens with humans and our relationship with the earth. We are made of 100% of earth components. We are made of all the elements found on earth, from water to all the minerals that compose the human body. To grow we consume elements (food and water) that come from the earth. When we die all those components somehow make it back to where they came from. Same with cars, houses, phones and everything we create. All the components come from the earth and at the end they will decompose, and they get back to its origin. The original 100% will exist.
The earth will exchange components with the universe simply because we all are in constant change, just as we humans.
That’s from the physical perspective; we can call it the mechanics of things, a term known as “absolute change“.
In a metaphorical framework, if we focus on the energetic side of things, it works in similar fashion. All energies around us interact in a similar way, with an added component which is that we receive energy not only from the earth but also from celestial bodies. Solar energy is basic to maintain life on earth as we know it. The Moon is essential for the normal operation of the mechanics of systems as weather, mass water movements, agriculture and also have an impact on humans.
If the Sun stops shinning or the Moon was absent, the earth will not have life the way we know it, but the components that are on earth today will still exists but is a different shape or form.
After this brief description to understand the mechanics, we center our focus on our human level of consciousness.
But first, what is consciousness?
Consciousness = Awareness multiplied by Integration with the Whole
To understand the human position within the development scale, we need to see the implications of the Consciousness and Ego’s driven levels.
Consciousness Driven
Lowest – Only me, my survival
Basic – Me and my family
Intermediate – My tribe, country, company
Higher – Humanity as a whole
Highest – Earth, solar system, existence itself
EGO Driven
Highest – Only my survival
Higher – Me and my family
Intermediate – My tribe, country, company
Basic – Humanity as a whole
Lowest – Earth, solar system, existence itself
This is an oversimplified list just to provide a perspective of under what rules within our 100% possibilities for development we operate under.
Maybe monks that recluse their lives to monasteries can achieve the highest level of consciousness, but with our everyday occupation and problems we must deal within our current society, it seems difficult that we can achieve it. But there are certain levels that we can achieve, by addressing our personal responsibilities and working on our self-development.
By education and society structure, we can say that most people operate at an intermediate level of consciousness and ego, thinking of their family, country and where they work. The result of that is the world that we live in today.
You can define if you are comfortable or not with the status of things, but looking at current world events, what will be your assessment looking at the tables provided?
Going back to the 100% rule we mentioned at the beginning, this dynamic operates on both a micro and macro scale. Within the individual, if consciousness is decreasing, ego is gaining to maintain the absolute change. Because humanity is simply the aggregate sum of every individual, our global level of consciousness works exactly in the same way. When the collective ego is gaining, collective consciousness is diminishing, and we are detaching ourselves from existence itself, and at the individual level, we are back to ONLY ME and MY SURVIVAL.
This is not new; it used to be the main preoccupation for people that lived under the Cold War scenario. Thinking about what they could do to survive in a nuclear war, famine or great catastrophes. Like so many movies that show those scenarios, there is a real possibility that something like that could happen.
But to raise consciousness there is no other way than work in ourselves. It’s personal.
Adding one person at a time that level can be raised globally. We cannot expect our politicians to do it; they are a consequence of the level of consciousness of the people that vote for them, and we all experience the consequences of that.
If we are looking to have a better existence for us and for the rest of humanity, we need to start working on ourselves, others will follow. Otherwise, the consequences of humanity driven by majority by ego will not end up well. There is a common phrase in the financial world about financial reset, what about the possibility of a civilization reset?
The answer is within each one of us.
At the end, with humanity in this world or not, the total will still be absolute change.
