Neptune in Aries
It is not common to talk about Neptune regularly, and I would say it is not one of the most popular planets. With its departure from Pisces, where it entered in 2011, and its upcoming entry into Aries in late January 2026, we can review some important points that were activated during this period.
Neptune is the planet associated with spirituality, illusion, empathy, and creativity.
During its transit through Pisces, the following areas were activated:
Intuition and Spirituality: Neptune in Pisces could have intensified the connection with intuition and the spiritual dimension. It was a favorable time to start or deepen meditation, explore spiritual essence, and personal growth.
Creativity: The transit through Pisces likely stimulated creativity in various forms, such as art, music, and writing. Many might have discovered or been inspired to develop their artistic side.
Disillusionment and Reality: Neptune also has an aspect of confusion and deception. This period may have brought disillusionment or idealizations that did not match reality.
Empathy and Connection: It enhanced empathy and compassion towards others. It activated social issues.
Inner Conflicts: In some cases, it may have caused confusion and internal struggles, such as conflicts between desires and reality or confrontations with addictions or escapism.
Collective Transformation: Globally, this transit offered the possibility of raising collective awareness and moving toward spirituality and emotional connection.
Now, over these 14 years, which of these aspects touched you personally, or did you notice them in others or in society in general?
Recalling some of the events that occurred on a broad scale:
Crisis and changes in the world of information and news: The expansion of social media, fake news, and misinformation have intensified over these years, reflecting Neptune’s influence on perception and truth.
Conflicts and humanitarian crises: The war in Syria, the Middle East conflict, and several massive migration movements are complex phenomena that reflect themes of illusion, disillusionment, and the search for a better world, associated with Neptune in Pisces.
Global health crisis: COVID-19 pandemic (from 2020 onward) can be seen as a manifestation of Neptune in its modern phase, bringing confusion, fear, but also an opportunity for introspection and collective spirituality.
Increased spiritual and esoteric pursuit: There has been a rise in spiritual movements, meditative practices, and greater awareness of higher consciousness and mystical topics.
Economic and social uncertainty: The global economy has shown vulnerabilities and crises, partly due to misinformation, loss of trust in institutions, and the pandemic’s effects. Also problems with flooding is different parts of the world with people loosing property.
What can we expect during Neptune transiting Aries:
Neptune, which rules water, passing through Aries, a fire sign, can stimulate creative ideas and impulsive movements motivated by ideals. However, there may be difficulties in maintaining clarity, patience, and focus due to fire’s tendency to act quickly without deep reflection.
Conflicts may arise between action and sensitivity, with more intuitive than rational choices. These actions could be brave but sometimes impulsive, full of illusions or false expectations.
Some historical events from the previous Neptune in Aries transit (approximately from 1850 to 1865):
American Civil War (1861-1865): An intense armed conflict with deep social and political implications, marked by themes of freedom, civil rights, and breaking traditional structures. It reflects Aries’ pioneering and disruptive spirit, driven by ideals of justice.
Revolutions and independence movements in Europe and America: A period characterized by uprisings, governmental changes, and emancipation movements, reflecting the fiery energy and struggle for new beginnings. Aries rules the head in the human body, also signaling new beginnings.
Society and Economy: During that period, the Industrial Revolution continued transforming societies, proliferating technological advances, though with many illusions and expectations that were not always fully met.
It seems this new cycle has much in common with the previous one, though with distinct characteristics, of course. The major differences presented in each country regarding political, social and economic ideas aren’t very different from the 1800s.
The social and economic transformation that mainly occurred in the Northern Hemisphere during the previous cycle is not so different from what we see today with the advent of artificial intelligence. Daily debates focus on the jobs that will be lost or are already being lost due to AI implementation. This is not very different from the previous era when machines began replacing manual labor. An important difference now is that everything unfolds much faster.
We must learn from history to understand how to navigate the present time. The goal is to avoid repeating past mistakes, both on a personal level and as a civilization.
