Can Frequencies alter our moods?

It has been proven that they do. To understand better this subject, we travel from ancient times to today.

In the book Astrology for the 21st Century released in 2018, we spoke about AI, intelligent prosthesis, binaural sounds and other subjects that believe it or not connect in a way with astrology.
Never tired of saying that everything relates with everything, even if we are program to believe that we are unique and independent.

A device just approved by the FDA treats depression with frequencies. Some people may be surprised by this announcement, others will value the evolution of technology, but in reality, the procedure to cure illness with sounds has been known since ancient times. Everything is energy, frequency and vibrations. Nothing in the universe escapes those principles.

From the book Astrology in the 21st century, section “Sonic Healing in Antiquity and Today

One emerging alternative is psionic medicine, which uses radiesthesia skills to identify causes of imbalances in the vital forces behind disorders and diseases.

Dr. Peter Guy Manners, a British scientist who developed a Cymatic Instrument that projects healing sounds into the body, explains frequency resonance as follows: “A healthy organ’s molecules work harmoniously, all following the same pattern. When different sound patterns enter the organ, this harmony can be disrupted, leading to disharmonic patterns associated with disease. If a treatment contains a harmonic frequency pattern that strengthens the organ, the disruptive vibrations are neutralized, and the correct pattern is restored, resulting in healing”.

Throughout history, sound has been regarded as a healing energy. Ancient cultures used it extensively for healing purposes, and many still recognize its remarkable powers today.

For example:

• In the Bible, King Saul’s depression was said to be cured by David’s harp playing.
• An Egyptian papyrus dating back 2,600 years references songs as an effective treatment for sterility and rheumatic pain.
• The Greeks believed music held powerful energy capable of healing both body and soul. Gout and back pain were treated with lyre and flute music. Alexander the Great’s madness was reportedly cured by melodies on the lyre. An old Greek saying states, “Men have a song as a doctor for pain.” Pythagoras, considered the father of music therapy, used specific melodies and rhythms to heal physical and mental illnesses, recognizing the profound influence of sound on health.

Ancient and Modern Perspectives on Sound and Healing

In the Temple of Dendera in Egypt, there are inscriptions that read:

“The sky and the stars play music for you”
“The Sun and the Moon praise you”
“The gods sing for you”

This temple was dedicated to Hathor, the goddess of music, transformation, love, and fertility. Inside, there were discoveries of the zodiac of Dendera along with various musical instruments venerated as sacred. Hathor, like the Hindu goddess Vac, is considered the mother of voice and sound.

The Corpus Hermeticum, dating from the first century AD and potentially originating from 1,400 BC, references the Egyptians’ use of sound beyond mere words. They believed vowels were sacred, which explains why their hieroglyphic script contains no vowels—highlighting the profound spiritual significance they assigned to vowel sounds. Egyptian priestesses used the sistrum, a musical instrument with metal discs that produce not only soothing sounds but likely ultrasound waves, which are known today to be effective in healing.

As you can see, we are just catching up with history. We are rediscovering what we already knew as civilization that for some reason we lost along the way.

The subject was mentioned in the book, to understand that you can manage hard astrological aspects, the ones that are heavy or dense in energy, that can affect your body mentally or physically. They can produce energy disbalances. That subject is in reference to the binaural sounds, which you can use when meditation and relaxation are not possible. We will discuss the subject in detail in another post.

So, the idea that sound (or frequencies) can be healing might sound simple or even skeptical. However, throughout history, from the Bible, ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome, Tibetan monasteries, Aboriginal Australia, to Sufi and Kabbalistic traditions, people have recognized the healing power of certain sounds.
