[wpedon id=”12836″ align=”right”]Sexual energy and astrology

This is a topic that, although not everyone may relate to astrology, but in essence each person’s sexual energy is reflected in the birth chart. If we add to this the search for power and money, these have been and are the things that move the world.

Stories where empires have clashed or made alliances and countless books and tales have been around since ancient times based on tragedies or joys where winners and losers were motivated by love and/or power. Without going any further, we only have to think about our personal experiences, or what we know about someone close to us to be able to understand the topic. Sexual energy comes as part of our DNA as a reproductive instinct for the continuation of the species, beyond the pleasures produced by sexual relations due to the different chemical reactions that occur in the body.

But what are the activators of the energies that we commonly know as attraction or that we can classify as feelings?

From astrology, the factors that activate these energies can be analyzed, which are given by the planets, aspects between them, zodiac signs and the houses involved.

With the Synastry, the natal charts between people can be compared and the points of coincidence or attraction between them can be determined, and each natal chart provides the personal characteristics that each person brings to the relationship.

But astrology is not everything, the experiences with which each person comes to the relationship must be considered also. Things like traumas, preconceptions acquired through upbringing, religious beliefs and others are part of the equation.

Two people can be attracted by different elements. We will try to classify and list the different types of attraction from an astrological point of view. Although they are classified in 5 and the first is defined as sexual, all should contain some sexual component, otherwise they would not materialize, but the classification tends to mark which is the predominant component of the relationship.

1. Sexual.
2. Compatibility of tastes, worldview and life.
3. Protection and shelter.
4. Karmic.
5. Totally romantic.

As you can see in the list, “love” is not found. Although all relationships can be defined as “loving”, none of them begin with love, but rather with one of the previously mentioned characteristics. I understand that this may shock some people, but if we go back to the basics by understanding that we are energetic beings and constantly interacting with the surrounding energy, an attraction is simply the meeting of similar energies. You can hear somebody saying there is “Good Chemistry” between two people, aren’t they saying just that?

If a relationship between two people continues after having spent some time sharing comforting sexual experiences, an additional energy is generated between them, which is commonly defined as ‘love’. But for that to happen, there must be other conditions in the synastry that support that energy, otherwise it is just sexual attraction.

Sexual attraction is often confused with love and relationships progress in more commitments based on that, but if there are complicated aspects between the two in the synastry and don’t show at the beginning, at some point they come to light. That energy which was somehow ‘hidden’ materializes, and if it becomes greater than the sexual energy causes the relationship to end.

At no time was the sex of each person discussed. The natal chart does not identify if the person is a man or a woman, it only tells you about the energies they have. A biological man can have more feminine energy in his natal chart than a biological woman, for example.
When we talk about relationships we talk about people in general.

In the Synastry, not only the relationship of the planets and the signs is analyzed, but also that of the houses, the nodes and the ascendant, but below only the planets are mentioned to give an idea of how it works. Of the five types that we defined previously; we can make the following description:

1. Sexual – In any sexual attraction, there is an important component where Mars and Venus are present beyond the existence of other additional aspects. In this category, we can define people who connect to have sex, but who do not necessarily have other things in common. There may even be no need to share other things.
There are different degrees of sexual attraction and energy, which are given by the astrological signs that intervene, as well as the relationship of Mars and Venus in each person’s chart. The Sun and Uranus can provide interesting additional energies in this aspect.

2. Compatibility of tastes, worldview and life – An instant click can occur between two people, even though they did not know each other before, when both Moons are in good aspects to each other. It will seem to both that they already know each other, the connection is made at an energetic subliminal level. Depending on the other aspects, there may or may not be sexual attraction, but there is a great connection between both. Some authors define it as having met in past lives and meeting again. Of course, other aspects such as those mentioned in point 1 added to this would make a more powerful relationship.

3. Protection and shelter – Although in all relationships one of the parties has more energetic weight than the other, which can be due to the age difference between them or life experiences. The sex of the person has nothing to do with this. The identification of the woman as weaker has to do with a type of teaching and indoctrination in society, more than with reality. The archetypes created by “programming” as has been mentioned on many occasions, work as a condition and are an aspect that is not present in the natal chart.
In this type of relationship we are talking about, it is usually given by an aspect where Saturn is present and could include the Sun and Venus. The person with Saturn could be defined as having more experience or being older than the other, or the other party sees and perceives it in that way. For this relationship to exist, like the others mentioned, they require other favorable aspects in common.

4. Karmic – There are relationships that can be tortuous and that beyond the problems that may exist that divide, there is a very powerful energy that attracts. These are destructive relationships and for the person who goes through one of these, it is difficult to forget it. In this type of relationship, Pluto is present on one side making an aspect with some of the planets such as the Sun, the Moon, Venus on the other. As in all relationships, there would have to be other aspects that made it possible for the relationship to materialize in the first place. A graphic way of defining this type of relationship is the dragonfly flying towards the fire that attracts it, knowing that when it arrives it will burn it. It is worth clarifying that the worst part of the relationship will affect the person who receives the energy of Pluto from the other.

5. Totally romantic – It is the idyllic relationship which has more to do with movies than with reality. As we see in the movies, everything bad happens and, against all odds, in the end they manage to be together. And that is where the movie ends.
In real life, for us who are in this reality, the movie just begins at that point. From that moment on, mundane issues begin such as work, home, money, family, children, etc. Relationships that begin with a super idealization of the moment undoubtedly have a strong Neptune component.
Neptune is imagination, creativity, connection with the beyond, with what we do not see with our eyes, but on the other hand it can also show what is not. It is very difficult for a person to see clearly when there is a bad aspect of Neptune in their natal chart or in the synastry. Neptune makes the other person see what they want to see and not what they really are. If the person has Neptune in the 1st, 5th or 7th house, they must be very careful with the handling of this energy. Relationships generated with an important energetic component of Neptune will show their “real” side sooner or later.

You may or may not feel some identification with one of the groups mentioned. But the objective of the explanation is to delve into how we function, what motivates us or drives us to do what we do. What is presented is an oversimplification of things; to really understand what your relationship from the astrological perspective is, you must first know yourself through your natal chart and then through a synastry of you and your partner and the transits under which the relationship started.

As you can see, astrology provides information on all aspects of our life, and as in this case, even in the most reserved part of our life.
