Welcome to 2019!

While each New Year is received with renewed hope, joy and celebration, it never hurts to look at the stars to see what they tell us.

In April of 2018, Uranus entered for a short period in Taurus and from that moment forward began the eruption of the volcano in Hawaii, which lasted months. There were days with hundreds of seismic tremors on the island as the volcano continued to emit its lava. Properties and roads were lost, some without the possibility of recovery. Volcanoes followed in Japan, Central America and while I am writing this, a son of the Krakatoa volcano erupted, which caused a tsunami in Indonesia causing a large number of victims and great damage. The volcano Vesuvius began to throw lava and ashes, with seismic activity.

The so-called ‘ring of fire’ in its entirety is much more active than normal.

Although in 2018 Uranus entered Taurus only for a few months, it was retrograde in the sign of Aries and with the following aspect in the coming months. Uranus and Mars will be in conjunction (within 10 degrees of separation) in Aries between the end of January and the beginning of March 2019, and then Uranus will follow its direct course in Taurus.

It is valid to mention that the previous time that Uranus entered Taurus was in 1935, when Germany left the Treaty of Versailles and began the restructuring of its armed forces, which later unleashed in the Second World War.

Uranus and Mars are planets that generate a very difficult energy to manage. Those born in the last part of the sign of Aries, they will be in conjunction with their natal Sun and they should be careful in the management of these energies; since these are energies of change, but not of measured or gradual change, but on the contrary, abrupt and even violent.

On the other hand, Saturn (it is in its sign) and Pluto continue in the sign of Capricorn. Capricorn governs the structures of power, and power itself. Saturn gives firmness to the structures and Pluto produces in them a slow change, which could be deep and transforming. At a social and global level, phenomena that seem to come out of nowhere are taking place, taking more strength every day and more representation. The population is expressing itself either in public demonstrations or through voting, against traditional governmental structures and is asking for its opinion to be more represented in the actions of government. The events in France and in other European countries, the new government that begins in Brazil, the departure of the United Kingdom from the European Union, as well as the internal struggle that is taking place in the United States, are clear examples of this. There is a power that is solidifying within a change.

It is important to pay attention to the development of the events in these first months of 2019, since they will set the tone for the rest of the year. It is not surprising that social revolts continue to rise as well as movements at the earth level.

In the same way that people are releasing pressure contained for a long time, as an escape valve, this release of pressure will produce changes in many aspects. On the other hand, the earth seems to be in a similar process, through the release of internal pressure with the activation of volcanoes and earthquakes.

We will probably reach the end of 2019 with a reality very different from the one we started the year. We hope that the changes that are coming are positive and help us in our personal evolutionary process, as well as at a global level, where personal values will take precedence once again, respecting individual ideas and leaving aside the polarizations and extremism that currently is part of our reality.
